AN IMPERMANENT CALENDAR
The goal was to discover an interesting concept and convey it through a calendar. My concept was centered around the impermanence of time. I was intrigued by cyanotypes, and wanted to use the sun itself to print the calendar. After the typography was manipulated to reinforce the idea of impermanence, I printed them on transparency paper, rolled sun sensitive ink onto reeves BFK and then laid the typography on top of the paper in direct sunlight to print. As the calendar was actually put into use, the design slowly faded away with time.
